Description

The Chipmunk was designed by de Havilland Canada as a primary training aircraft shortly after WW2. It first flew in May 1946 in Toronto and soon became the replacement for the ageing Tiger Moth, predominantly serving the Royal Canadian and Royal Air Forces. Interesting to note that HRH King Charles learned to fly in the Chipmunk. The type is well known for its excellent flying characteristics and many are still operated today by private owners. The RAF finally phased the Chipmunk out of service in 1996 in favour of the Scottish Aviation Bulldog.

This stylish piece of wall art is precision laser cut from 2mm steel and powder coated to a satin black finish. This provides a durable rust resistant finish so it can be displayed indoors or out. The piece stands away from the wall by 16mm giving an elegant 3D look which casts a silhouette on the wall. Mounting instructions and wall fixings are supplied.

If you wish to personalise your wall art with your or a loved ones initials, please select ‘Personalised Initials’ in the ‘Select Detail’ drop down box and fill in the notes section with your initials and any numbers.

The wall art comes in 3 different sizes, is made to order for you in the UK, and you can expect the product to be dispatched within 14 days, plus postage time. We also ship to most destinations.
